Mahaveer Jain calls Anupam Kher ‘superstar of this year’
Uunchai’s producer Mahaveer Jain talked about the things he considers before choosing a project, “Kahani dil ko chune chahiye. That’s the first thought that comes to my mind. That’s the first reason to say yes to any project. Mere khayal se agar aap emotionally connect karte ho audience ko toh woh chalta. If they’re invested with you emotionally and involved, then the movie will be a hit.”
Uunchai speaks about friendships that aren’t weighed on the basis of reciprocity.It discusses forging bonds of friendship between young and old, as well as between husband and wife, when one looks out for the other rather than depending on them. Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Sarika, and Parineeti Chopra played important roles.
Speaking about his dream project, he said, “Uunchai is my dream project. Pichle 15 saal se mera ichchha tha to work with them. It was a great journey. My dream came true. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
Mahaveer talked about the USP of the film and said, “We don’t really remember which was the last film we watched with our families. You can watch Uunchai with your own family. There will be something that will stay in your heart. Also, we don’t usually make films for people over 45.This is the first film made for them, and they loved it. People are watching it more than once. People are moved by the story. It was a great experience, and this is its USP. The main part is that everyone is going with the family to watch the film.
He concluded, ” You should know your target audience, be clear, and handle them with your honesty. Suraj Ji did it. I’m not in the box office race. I wanted to tell a story for the older section of society. and it got huge applause from them. And khushi ki baat hai ye ki young stars also liked it. We made healthy family entertainment.”a
