Delhi-NCR Under Yellow Alert for Severe Weather

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and surrounding regions. Thunderstorms, moderate rainfall and strong winds reaching speeds of 60–70 kmph, with gusts up to 80 kmph, are expected across North India.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel during storms and secure loose objects. Similar weather conditions are likely in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan, providing some relief from the intense summer heat while also raising concerns about temporary disruptions and localized damage.
