A New Chapter Begins: Formation of the Charter of Rotary Club Chandigarh Horizon
A new wave of purpose-driven leadership, innovation, and community service has begun with the formation of the Charter of the Rotary Club Chandigarh Horizon under Rotary International District 3080 (RID 3080).
Built on the principles of “Service Above Self,” the club has been envisioned as a future-ready Rotary platform that brings together leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers committed to creating meaningful social impact.
The club is being established with a strong focus on youth empowerment, Artificial Intelligence awareness, leadership development, mental health advocacy, community transformation, and global collaboration. Chandigarh Horizon aims to become a modern and progressive Rotary ecosystem that blends traditional values with contemporary vision.
The charter formation is being led by a dynamic founding leadership team:
- Rtn. Avinash Taneja – Founding Member & President of the Club
- Rtn. Vijay Kumar Dhall – Founding Member & Chief Mentor of the Club
- Rtn. Dr. Nitya Prakash – Founding Member & President Elect (2027–28)
The club operates under Rotary International District 3080 (RID 3080) and is progressing towards its official charter recognition with Rotary International.

Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Avinash Taneja, President of the Club, shared:

Rtn. Vijay Kumar Dhall, Chief Mentor of the Club, added:

Reflecting on the vision of the club, Rtn. Dr. Nitya Prakash, President Elect (2027–28), stated:
“The idea behind Chandigarh Horizon is to create a movement of changemakers who are ready to lead the future with authenticity, innovation, and compassion. This is not just the formation of a club — it is the beginning of a larger mission.”
As the club moves towards its official chartering, the founding members have expressed their commitment to building impactful projects across education, technology, healthcare, youth leadership, environment, and social innovation.
