India Remains Concerned Over Escalation in West Asia
The conflict in West Asia continues to dominate international affairs. Recent attacks and military exchanges around the Strait of Hormuz have heightened concerns regarding energy supplies and maritime security. India has expressed deep concern over the renewed violence and emphasized the need to protect civilians and maintain regional stability.
The region is strategically important because nearly one-fifth of global oil shipments pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Any prolonged disruption could push up crude oil prices, increase inflation and affect economies worldwide, including India, which relies heavily on imported energy.
